About Bocoton Cotton Balls
Soft cotton balls. Genetically unmodified cotton, cultivated without the use of synthetic chemical pesticides.
For extra softness and purity, the cotton is bleached using hydrogen peroxide. Biodegradable packaging, made from non-genetically modified corn starch. Made from 100% natural fibres, this product may contain a few vegetable elelements. The purchase of a Bocoton product labelled Fairtrade/Max Havelaar ensures a sustainable development for small farmers from West African countries:
- an economical development: a guaranteed minimum price that allows them to cover their production costs, to improve their standards of living, to negociate better and be able to invest;
- a social development: the payment of a premium to the producer organisation that is envested in social or environmental projects for the benefit of the community;
- an environmental development: an efficient monitoring of waste, water and soil; the banning of GMOs and dangerous pesticides.
